MostArts Festival

The MostArts Festival debuts this year on Performance Rochester! The weeklong celebration of the arts on the beautiful campus of Alfred University encompasses many facets of the fine arts, with classes and demonstrations in glass-blowing, painting, creative writing...even flower arranging. It all begins with a gala concert, and finishes with a competition for young pianists from around the world.

His cello has floated to islands and scaled mountains.  Its sound has echoed across remote lakes and dense pine forests.

Brian Donat is The Adirondack Cellist, and he's performed on wild peaks, in hunting cabins, and on lakeside docks.

Host Julia Figueras welcomes faculty members of the MostArts Festival at Alfred University to the WXXI studios for Backstage Pass on Tuesday, June 21 at 1 p.m. on Classical 91.5. This summer festival features talented musicians from across the country performing chamber and orchestral music, and a Young Pianist Competition, as well as workshops in ceramics and glass blowing at area art exhibitions and museums.
