BEER CHOIR is back! You can join in the singing and fun as part of the Tavern Takeover at the oldest house in Monroe County on Wednesday August 14th, with The Landmark Society of Western New York, Inc. and the Young Urban Preservationists (YUPs), with Silver Lake Brewing Project.
The Landmark Society’s Stone-Tolan House Historic Site was built in the late 18th and early 19th centuries as a farm, home, and tavern. For one night only, we’re turning it back into a functioning tavern, with beer from Silver Lake Brewing and snacks.. The Tavern Takeover event is from 6:30pm - 9:00pm on August 14th, and the Flower City Beer Choir Band will lead the singalong of classic drinking songs and a few surprises from 7-8pm.
Tickets are $15 and will get you your first beer, make your own s'mores, snacks as well as access to the Stone-Tolan House and grounds. Non-alcoholic beverages will be available. Additional beers will be available for purchase. Buy tickets here.
Parking is limited so they suggest carpooling, or you can take RTS to the Tavern Takeover and don’t worry about parking (and drink all you want!). Route 57 (East Avenue via Park Avenue between Alexander and Colby) leaves the Transit Center at 6:40, stopping just steps from Stone-Tolan (Stop #996), on East Avenue between Council Rock Avenue and Clover Street, at approximately 7PM. The best option to return, stops near Stone-Tolan (Stop #997) at approximately 8:45. Visit www.myrts.com for more info or text your stop number to 585-351-2878 to see when the next bus is coming.
