From Buffalo to New York City, there’s one thing all New Yorkers have in common: our love of celebrating our warm and stunningly beautiful summers! Here are a few highlights of places and upcoming events where you can celebrate summer with great music here in New York:

  • Party in the Park Concert Series
    • When: Every Thursday, June 7 – August 2, 5:00PM – 10:30 PM
    • Where: Dr. Martin King Jr. Park – Rochester, NY
    • What: From blues, to reggae, funk, and classic rock – This family friendly concert series is a perfect way to celebrate the beautiful summer season.
    • Cost: Free and open to the public
  • Endless Mountain Music Festival
    • When: July 20 – August 4
    • Where: Across the Southern Tier, NY and Pennsylvania, Various cities
    • What: Enjoy a collection of classical music performances including a rendition of Peter and the Wolf, Irish step music and dance, film music, and all your classical favorite. 
    • Cost: Various, tickets range from free to $250 depending on the event, more information can be found here.
  • Harborfest
    • When: July 26 – 29
    • Where: Various stages in Oswego, NY
    • What: See over 50 musical acts across 3 stages in beautiful Oswego, NY! Enjoy live music, food, and fireworks at this family friendly event!
    • Cost: Free and open to the public
  • Northeast Jazz and Wine Festival
    • When: July 27 - 28
    • Where: Clinton Square – Syracuse, NY
    • What: Two days of the some of the finest international jazz, funk, soul, reggae, and more! Enjoy wine, beer, and cider tastings in an air -cooled pavilion, guided by the region's finest makers. Tasting admissions benefit the Red Cross.
    • Cost: Free and open to the public, but preferred seating is available for $25 dollars here.
  • Panorama Music Festival
    • When: July 27 – July 29
    • Where: Randall’s Island Park – New York City, NY
    • What: A celebration of the New York City’s unique creative community, the critically-acclaimed festival pairs a diverse lineup of top-notch talent with immersive art and innovative technology for an unparalleled live music event.
    • Cost: Single-day passes ($99) and multi-day passes ($185, $250) are available for purchase here.
  • Harlem Week
    • When: July 29 – August 31
    • Where: Harlem - New York City, NY
    • What: Harlem Week features over 100 events to over 2 million attendees from all over New York and the world. Harlem Week celebrates the neighborhood’s assets and unique flavor, promoting their rich African, African-American, Caribbean, Hispanic, and European culture, music, arts, entertainment, and history.
    • Cost: Free and open to the public
  • Falcon Ridge Folk Festival

    • When: August 3 – 5
    • Where: Dodds Farm – Hillsdale, NY
    • What: Come join a vivacious 3 day community of folk music and dance at the base of the Berkshires. See some of the most up and coming and most beloved folk musicians America has to offer.
    • Cost: Tickets are $50 per day with senior, student, and military discounts available. Tickets can be purchased at the door or in advance here.
  • Rochester Soul Music Festival

    • When: August 25 – 26
    • Where: Frontier Field – Rochester, NY
    • What: The re-named, re-amped festival, formerly known as the Rochester Music Festival, will focus on soul and R&B music, hosting some of the best and the brightest of the soul music community.
    • Cost: Single-day passes ($40) and 2-day passes ($55) are available for purchase here.
  • Glimmerglass Festival
    • When: July 7 – August 25
    • Where: Alice Busch Opera Theater – Cooperstown, NY
    • What: The Glimmerglass Festival is a one-of-a-kind summer destination, blending world-class opera with a relaxed, casual atmosphere and a beautiful lakeside setting in the heart of Central New York. The Cooperstown region’s welcoming accommodations, delightful dining and fun-filled attractions invite you to extend your visit and explore.
    • Cost: Tickets range from $25 to $150 depending on the show and date, and can be purchased here.
  • Keuka Lake Music Festival
    • When: July 14 – August 19
    • Where: Penn Yan, NY Geneva, NYKeuka Park, NY
    • What: Jazz enthusiasts won't want to miss this weekend full of free performances by talented jazz musicians! Bring your own chairs and blankets, and picnic while enjoying the music from the lawn. You can also listen from your boat behind Shepard Park Beach.
    • Cost: Tickets range from free to $20 and can be purchased here
  •   Lake George Jazz Weekend
    • When: September 15 – 16
    • Where: Shepard Park – Lake George, NY
    • What: Jazz enthusiasts won't want to miss this weekend full of free performances by talented jazz musicians! Bring your own chairs and blankets, and picnic while enjoying the music from the lawn. You can also listen from your boat behind Shepard Park Beach.
